Not Included and Add-Ons

  • All Pretesting and visits prior to Treatment (Includes Testing and visits/consultation before stimulation starts visit. Can apply to in-network insurance) 
  • Post cycle obstetrical ultrasound and provided visit. (Can apply to in-network insurance)
  • Anesthesia for IVF procedures ($700)
  • Embryo assisted hatching, embryo biopsy.
  • Embryo preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is $300/embryo which will be billed directly by 3rs party genetic laboratory.
  • Storage of Embryos, Eggs, or Sperm, billed directly by Embryo Options.
  • All Medications that are needed during the treatment will be billed directly from pharmacies. Minimal Stimulation IVF $1,000-2,500; Conventional IVF $2,000-5,500; Embryo Transfer Cycle $300-1,000.
  • Third Party Reproductive IVF: IVF treatment involving known donors, donor eggs or embryos, or gestational carriers have a separate pricing structure and will require a separate consultation with our financial team to better understand your needs. 

Pre-IVF requirements but not included in the above packages.

Before starting IVF at Think Fertility, complete these pre-IVF requirements as per state and federal laws and American Society for Reproductive Medicine guidelines. These can be done at our center or with your preferred provider. Most pre-cycle tests are billable to insurance.

Initial consultation

This service includes a thorough consultation of your case and medical history with a physician, and is required to begin treatment. The consultation fee can be applied to in-network insurance, without insurance the cash-pay is $350. If an ultrasound is performed during your initial consultation it will be an additional $100.

Semen Analysis

Semen analysis is required prior to starting any IVF treatment. It will help to diagnose male factor infertility and determine if ICSI is necessary during IVF treatment. Think Fertility Laboratory SA testing costs $150 and cannot be billed to insurance. 

State Law Required Blood Panel

Both partners must complete infectious disease testing prior to starting any IVF treatment. LabCorp may bill your insurance for your bloodwork.

Saline Infusion Sonohysterography(SIS)* 

This is required as part of fertility testing and/or before embryo transfer to identify potential abnormalities in the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes. Think Fertility will attempt to bill your insurance, if in-network. The cash price for this procedure is $750.

PAP Smear

A current PAP smear is required prior to the start of any IVF treatment. We encourage you to complete your PAP smear testing with your primary care physician. If necessary, we will perform the procedure for you. If you don't have insurance, please contact us. You will be billed separately by the lab for the actual testing.

Insurance

We can apply your clinical consultation, clinic visits, diagnostic work-up such as ultrasound or Saline Infusion Sonohysterogram (SIS) or hysteroscopy to your health insurance.

We encourage you to fully understand your benefits by calling your insurance plan. We listed the questions you may ask for better understanding your benefits below in the Q & A section. 

Most insurances do not cover fertility treatments such as IUI or IVF. Even if your plan has fertility treatment, you may still need to pay a significant amount for your deductible, co-payment co-insurance and medications.

We provide the guidance here and in the Q & A below that you may call your insurance to find out whether you have coverage for IVF treatment. 

Please be aware that the Think Fertility Laboratory (TFL) provides Embryology and Andrology services of fertility treatment. TFL does not participate in insurance plans. 

All services provided by TFL including IUI, IVF, egg freezing etc will be on a self-paid basis, and payment is expected at the time of service. We strive to provide affordable and highly successful IVF treatments to our patients.

  • We care about pricing transparency! Going back and forth with insurance companies about the coverage is not only time-consuming, but also confusing. Our self-pay option emphasizes pricing transparency. We are willing to answer all your concerns about billings throughout the whole process. You will be acknowledged for the amounts you are paying without hiding fees. 


  • All Treatment pricing is comparable to what you would end up paying for deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket expenses even with insurance.

Common Q & A

What is covered by the insurance? The initial consultation and fertility testing including clinical visits, ultrasound, Saline Infusion Hysterogram (SIS), Hysterosalpingogram (HSG), Hysteroscopy, lab testing, can be applied to insurance. *Please note: Semen analysis is a self-pay testing for $150. 

What are the costs if I do not have insurance? 

Here are the price list without insurance:

  • Initial consultation : $350.
  • CDC required infectious disease testing and blood work before IVF: please contact clinic.
  • Saline Infusion Sonohysterography(SIS) or hysteroscopy: $750
  • PAP Smear: please contact clinic. 
  • Semen Analysis: $150

  • Outside Monitoring: Think Fertility provides outside monitoring at cash pay $250/visit. Blood work will be charged $75 per item.
